Nothing Phone 2 - Everything You Need To Know

Nothing Phone 2 - Everything You Need To Know

It’s now been a year since the Nothing Phone 1 was released and it’s fair to say that their debut flagship was certainly a success.  Praised for its high-end OLED display and truly unique design elements, the Nothing Phone 1 sold over 500,000 units and while these numbers aren’t anything special compared to big contenders in the scene, Carl Pei revealed that the Nothing Phone 1 exceeded its forecasted sales target. And now, plans for the Nothing Phone 2 are even bigger than its predecessor – penetrating the flagship mobile sector, the Nothing Phone 2 is set to be their top range debut top end device.

Internals
The Nothing Phone 2 takes a huge step up from the previous generation. The Nothing Phone 2 features an LTPO OLED display which is a whole 200 nits brighter than its predecessor. This year we see a larger 6.7-inch display on the Nothing Phone 2 which in our opinion sits quite nicely against the new competition its up against with today’s flagships. Arguably, the real star of the show here is the brain of the new phone. The Nothing Phone 2 is strapped with a flagship grade Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in its arsenal – bringing a faster and more responsive user experience. The camera on the Nothing Phone 2 is largely reminiscent of the last generation, with the added inclusion of optical image stabilisation and a 32MP selfie camera. It still retains its dual 50MP wide and ultrawide camera setup, of course with the expected software refinements.

Design
The Nothing Phone 2 boasts a design that's Nothing short of mesmerising. With clean lines, smooth edges, and a distinct absence of coloured body components, the device follows in the footsteps of its predecessor inheriting a vastly transparent design to showcase all of the components that make the device so special.

Battery
In a world where daily charging has become the norm, the Nothing Phone 2 flips the script with its exceptional battery life. Thanks to an efficient combination of hardware and software optimisation, the 4700mAh battery lasted a respectable 103 hours during GSM arenas battery endurance tests. In conjunction to this, the 45W wired charging will take the Nothing Phone 2 from Nothing to a full charge in under an hour.

Features
With the Nothing Phone 2, the company has elevated its performance in the realm of Glyph lights. Nothing has revitalized the Glyph Interface on the rear surface, incorporating a total of 11 distinct LED strips. In addition to the visual enhancements, Nothing has introduced a range of novel functionalities for utilizing the onboard glyph LEDs. The Glyph interface has an abundance of cool uses including uber app integration where the Glyph works as a progress tracker for your upcoming ride.

Its safe to say that the Nothing Phone 2 is Nothing short of technological excellence. We can’t wait to get our hands on one – let us know your thoughts in the discussion section below!
